summertime

Since it has been about a month or more, thought we would try to catch up. Many fun times down at the lake, Austin and Gabie just had their birthdays. Austin turned 12 and Gabie turned 6. The boys slept in the tent and gab had Alayna and Avah stay overnight.
We have lots of fun times in the water see recent pics, the boys played dead men floats Avah swimming, Gabie and the girls eating cupcakes.

there are some of dad cleaning the boat and Scott and charity, just summertime fun. It is getting colder at night now usually in the 50's or 60's great sleeping weather. Next week-end labor day only and couple more after that it will be time to put the boat away for the winter. I sure wish Lola could be here swimming and boating and being in all of our pictures, she will have so much fun with her cousins. hope you enjoy all the pictures, sorry there are none of me but no one ever takes any, just tell Lola what Nana looks like. The picture of Alex making a funny face we call him Jamal..... will write later. Love, Mom.

more pictures from the 4th

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July, we went to the parade on Friday Morning. I took these pictures for Sean I know he would have gotten goose bumps Darth Vader looked right at us, with all his guards and storm troopers, it was so cool. We walked to the parade from Scott and Charity's new house. They had no power for three days but after we got back from the parade, the power was ON!!!!
Dad and I went to the lake after the parade and we didn't come home until Sunday at 4:30. It was so nice, and so hot. Sunday I went swimming for a couple of hours with carol. we are burnt to a crisp. but the water is so nice you don't want to get out. Hope everyone had a nice weekend talk to you later. Love Mom.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Just thought I would say Happy Fathers Day. What a nice week-end. We went to the lake and sat on the boat, the kids swam most of the day Saturday and couple hours on Sunday. We got some yard work done, and visited with the neighbors. Dad starts his new job tomorrow. He says he has to go to bed by nine tonight. He starts work at 5:40 am. Stacey just left to take the kids to their dads. She asked him if he would like them early today for fathers day and he said no. Some guys just don't get it I guess. I wish I could have a cook-out with everyone home for dad, Sean and Scott but not going to happen this year anyway. I miss my dad today. I probably would have bought him some new tennis shoes which he never bought for himself. And grandpa Marshall would wish everyone could get together for a cook out also, that seemed to be his wish most of the time.

Hope everybody has a nice day. Love Mom

Summer is here!!

Summer is finally here! Storms have been rolling through West Michigan for two days now. There was a spectacular lighting and cloud show. One of the best I can remember in my lifetime. Down pouring rain. Gun Lake got seven inches of rain just last night. Everyone is flooded inside their homes. Their yards are lakes. Our boat was floating with the neighbors boat with dock pieces attached, the waves had broken them apart. We had to jump in walk them to another boat slip and re-secure them before the next round of storms tonight. Many tornado watches and warnings. Hopefully people will dry out their carpet before getting hit again. If we do flood to bad, at least we have a boat. The lake is so high it is level with the docks, we a literally walking on water. One more inch and we will be under water walkers.
Our first graduation for grand kids. Yea Austin !! Stacey, carol and I went to the school program it was so nice. I basically cried from the moment he walked in and waved to me. I couldn't help it. They played songs about being little and growing up. They wrote poems, and said goodbye to classmates , teachers and friends. They even showed a video with baby pictures. I had to cry. I couldn't help but remembering his first day of school there. Taking him to kindergarten. His first bus ride to school. Following the bus watching him through the windows. Parking in the bus garage next door, watching him get off the bus and go to his door. Going back later to the bus garage to watch that he get on the right bus number to come home, and then to beat the bus back so he wont know I left. I feel bad that he wont be at the same school anymore to watch over Alex and Gabie. He has always been this gentle giant, welcoming each one as they start school, showing them the ropes, looking out for them without ever saying anything. Now he will have a couple years in his new school to enjoy himself and Alex will step into the role of big brother, he has already, the last day of school Gabie fell down the hill cutting both knees, she cried out "Alex" he ran to her, scooped he up and carried her to the bus stopping to get wet napkins for her knees until they got home. He has assumed his role already. I just cant believe Austin will be twelve years old in a couple months, the little guy who loved puzzle place, fell asleep every day to Harvest Moon and walked for the first time on my birthday. He is such a joy I could not be more proud of him and look forward to our next adventure, however, I am not sure where I can hide out yet. Will continue later, Love Mom

tball, school programs

Alayna is Ms. baseball. She is loving it, look at her can you believe it?? Chip off the old block I think.
She is so much fun to watch, there are only two girls on her team so I tell her to go out there and show the boys how to play the game. She is so cute, when she runs her pony tail just sways in the breeze. Cant wait till everyone can she her.

The school program was great. Once she got up there and found all of us waving, she did great. She was singing and dancing. See if you can pick her out of the kids,,,hint: she is waving and has a high school musical shirt on. Look for the one who looks like her dad :)

Avah cant wait to play she will be a force to reckoned with.

We have had one nice day in weather this week Tuesday was 73 from there its been rainy and cold. I hope we have great weather when you come home. I learned some great new songs at the program. Even Austin is a sport and sings them with Gabie I cant wait to teach lola "A tooty ta ta." Will write more later getting kinda late. Go Green Tigers!!! Love Mom
